Our Offices Santamaria Eye Center has two convenient locations in the Middlesex County area. Our locations are in Perth Amboy, NJ at 104 Market Street and in Edison, NJ at 100 Menlo Park, Suite 408. Please refer to our Directions Section for detailed directions to our offices.
Office Hours Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and some Saturday mornings. Our office visits are by appointment only. Please call so we can schedule a time for you. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please call us as soon as possible at (732) 826-5159. The Office Visit A comprehensive eye examination usually takes about two hours. Please bring your most recent pair of eyeglasses with you, along with your completed patient information form. Remember to include a list of all your medications. In addition, please be prepared to present your insurance card, referral and copay as required by your insurance plan. Upon arrival in the exam room, our technicians will question you about your current eye problem, as well as your past ocular and medical history. They will perform several preliminary tests needed to help the doctor with your examination. The doctor will check for all types of eye diseases, including cataracts, glaucoma, and any corneal or retinal problems. The doctor may use dilation drops to help look in the back of your eye. This will temporarily blur your vision and cause your eyes to be sensitive to light. You should bring sunglasses, and if possible, arrange for transportation. If English is not your primary language, consider bringing a translator. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For first

Billing Department We have a superb Billing Department. Due to the numerous HMO’s and many insurance plans, billing is a very complex process today. We have four dedicated billing personnel who will assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. Emergencies In case of an emergency (trauma, sudden loss of vision, severe pain, or redness), please call our office immediately. We will accommodate you in our schedule.
